The Association of the Friends strives to take full advantage of the available funding in a given year. If funds are still available at the end of a year, scientific meetings and training courses at BNITM can be financially supported. These funds should be used for travel and participation costs of young scientists who cannot be promoted by the Ortrud-Mührer-Travel-Grants, like e. g. those coming from industrialized nations

Decisions on the support of applications will be made by the VdF Board in meetings taking place in February, June and November. Accordingly, the deadlines for the submission of applications to be decided on are January 15, May 15 and October 15, respectively.
