The group's focus is clinical research on infectious diseases and capacity building for GCP-compliant clinical research in resource limited settings.

Being a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and technical staff from the areas of project management, clinical monitoring and clinical data management, the group's infrastructure allows for a self-reliant conduct of diverse academic clinical studies as well as for comprehensive support in the establishment of clinical trial infrastructure at growing African partner sites.
