Overview

The focus of our group is on infectious diseases that are highly prevalent in our setting in rural Gabon. These include malaria, schistosomiasis, loiasis, and other often neglected infectious diseases in the tropics. We perform studies on the epidemiology, pathophysiology, and burden of disease. A main priority of our work is the conduct of interventional clinical trials for the development of new treatments to reduce the burden of these infectious diseases.
