Invitation
With pleasure we invite you to participate in the 13th EFIS-EJI South Eastern European Immunology School (SEEIS2024), financed by the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS) together with the European Journal of Immunology (EJI) and supported by Euroimmun and Becton Dickinson. The school will be held in Trogir, Croatia, at the shore of the Mediterranean sea, from October 23 (Wednesday) to October 26 (Saturday), 2024.
The school is mainly held for PhD students, young scientists and doctors from the Balkan region interested in state-of-the art of immunology and translating the new achievements to the patients . A group of international speakers will ensure a highly interactive, scientifically stimulating and intense conference program. They will highlight recent advances in inflammation research, T and B cell biology, immunogenetics, MHC and infection, autoimmunity, diagnostics of autoimmune diseases and updates on new technologies and products. By successfully hosting twelve schools since 2009, SEEIS has already established a tradition and became a sort of a tradename.
Moreover, there will be practical courses in fluorescence microscopy for autoantibody detection and in flow cytometry using an Accuri flow cytometer. Attendance in this school is limited to 60 persons on a competitive basis.
Information about the school
The school will take place in Hotel Sveti Kriz located directly at the sea, a few kilometres from Trogir.
Participation at the school is free of charge. Selected participants will also get free accommodation and subsistence. We will be able to partially cover travel costs. Accompanying persons cannot be accommodated.
